"In this era of rapid change, there is an emphasis on the significance of mathematical knowledge, as well as on the mathematical competencies and values associated with it, in preparing students for the future. Furthermore, the exchange of educational values and practices between cultures has gained importance. This study was drawn from a larger project titled ‘Mathematical Modeling Competency and Mathematics Values in Türkiye and South Korea: A Cross-cultural Comparative Study’ led by Principal Investigators Hee-jeong Kim in Korea and Yüksel Dede in Türkiye. The study examines the measurement invariance of What I Find Important in my Mathematics Learning (WIFI) survey of mathematics educational values among 5^th and 9^th -grade students in both countries."
